PROGRAMME
At all levels of the contest, the competitors shall select one work in each of the following series, bearing in mind to respect the total duration of execution allotted to them.
They shall avoid to choose two works from the same ;;;
Préparatoire-Supérieur
1st series : -a sonata by Beethoven, Mozart or Haydn.
2nd series: - a prelude to be chosen in Debussy or Messiaen
Or :- one movement from Ravel’s Sonatina.
Or : - a piece to be chosen among the works by Poulenc, Honegger,
Chabrier, Ibert, Albéniz or Granados.
3rd series : - a piece to be chosen among the works by Schubert, Schumann,
Chopin,Brahms, Mendelssohn, or Grieg.
Maximum time : 20 minutes
Supérieur 1
1st series : - a personal choice of a “Prelude and Fugue”, or two movements
from a partita by J.S.Bach.
or : - a music piece by Rameau or Scarlatti.
2nd series : - a piece of French music to choose among works from Fauré’s
to Messiaen’s, or a piece of Spanish music.
3rd series : - a romantic piece to be chosen among works ranging from Scubert’s
to Brahm’s.
Maximum time : 20 minutes.
Supérieur 2 :
1st series : - one sonata movement (Allegro or Vivace) by Beethoven, Mozart,
Haydn or Schubert.
Or : - a Prelude and Fugue by J.S.Bach , Chostakovitch or Mendelssohn.
2nd series : - a personal choice out of the Spanish or Russo-Polish literature.
3rd series : - a romantic piece to be chosen among works from Schubert’s to Brahms.
Or : - a contemporary piece composed after 1950.
